With remote working being the new normal, it is great to have fun activities to connect you and your team when the distance between you is so great. Whether it's an icebreaker, a short joke or some games, here are some ideas to get you started!
#1 - Fun Fact or Short Joke
Sending an email to your team can sometimes bring on stress for the recipients, as it undoubtedly will be viewed as you wanting to add to their workload. Starting with a fun fact or short joke can be a nice way to bring quick humour. Of course this would not be suitable for every email, so use wise judgement!
#2 - Game: Two Truths and a Lie
This is a great game for team bonding and is pretty self-explanatory. Each member shares 3 "facts" about themselves. However, only 2 are true and 1 is a lie. The other team members then have to guess which is the lie. This is great played using an interactive presentation software, as you can include funny images!

#3 - Game: Recreating a Famous Photo Challenge
This involves a lot of advanced preparation.
Each team member recreates a famous photo. They can do this however they wish, being as creative as possible; whether it's getting family members, friends or even cats involved, or maybe using food items! You then present your photos to each other while the rest have to guess which photo you have recreated!
#4 - Coffee Break
This is not much of an activity, but it is something people tend to forget to do when they are working from home. It is ok to disconnect, grab a coffee, and have a virtual chat with one of your colleagues. Doesn't have to be long, but it can be the short break that you need to rejuvenate yourself. So do it!
So there you have it! Some suggestions to 'spice' up your remote working life. Let me know what you think of these activities and let me know in the comments what you would add to this list - and I will add them!
